I agree with many …
I agree with many of Kim’s concerns about museums; however, at times she overgeneralizes and makes questionable umptions. Museums, in spite of their dogmatism, in spite of their tendency to resemble mausoleums of the intellect (both of which are fair criticisms), can present us with works of art and/or artifacts that unsettle and challenge our umptions about the world in ways that are otherwise difficult to achieve. If different cultures expand our horizons, so too do different times.

Cause i may not understand the value represented in a painting, but I can certainly tell you that historical and natural musemums have itmes that are significant to the time period or the subject being adressed. This is an over generalization of an type of insititute that has many diffrent catagories in it. At first adress all and then to make blantant refrence to only one catagory of musemums is a little deceptive, isn’t it?

Umm… that’s certainly true in of K-12teachers, but Pinky is very much trying to make a point here and support that point (which is the opposite of what you are saying - that whatever conclusion is reached is not as important as the process itself, as a mental exercise ).

i didnt know retard could be used as a verb, but the really wierd thing is that kim is actually pinky with a tweaked voice, specificly the pitch has been raised. i’m a “über-gamer” and so i have great 5.1 surround headphones, so i can hear pinky breath. i do not have the patience but you shall! google “youtube music ripper/downloader” get that downloaded, now search “pitch raiser” and lower the pitch, you should now be hearing pinkys voice.
